In an effort to offer more enriched academic experiences for honors students, UWF’s Kugelman Honors Program allows academically talented students to annotate regular coursework for Honors credit. The procedure involves additional work requirements in the form of a written contract between student and faculty.
By the end of the third week of the semester, the student must submit this online Honors by Contract Proposal.
Attach a copy of the course syllabus:
Attach a 250 word typed detailed explanation of the additional course work SIGNED by the professor. This includes an explanation as to how the additional course work will be evaluated in relation to the regular class.
Course Number & Title
The student is responsible for completing the course requirements as agreed upon. Failure to do so will result in the student not receiving Honors credit for the course. If the student wishes to change this course from an Honors course to a regular course, he or she must notify the instructor and the Honors office in writing. The same deadlines and conditions of withdrawal will govern the Honors by Contract. The signature of the professor and my acknowledgement of this statement signify agreement to the course content and the conditions stated herein.
By the last day of classes in the semester, I must submit all the following paperwork online to receive Honors by Contract credit:
• A copy of the Honors by Contract coursework
• The student evaluation form completed and signed by the professor.
